SCANDINAVIAN HIGH DEFINITION/24P WORKSHOP
A HD/24P workshop runs typically over 5 (week)days, starting a Monday with an intensive schedule from 09:00 to 18:00 (some days even longer for those whom whish to stay) to Friday. All lessons will be held in the English language.
A number of experts, DITs (Digital Imaging Technician), DOPs, all with extensive experience in this format, are invited as teachers or guest teachers. There is one group-teacher for every 3 participants and camera.
The level is very high with in depth study of the cameras' setting and menus, the problems in different situations (e.g. blue/green screen). We also have the ambition to talk and perhaps work with postproduction, which is something we did not have the time to incorporate in the first workshop we arranged. Sony F900 camera will be in majority, but naturally other cameras like the Thomson Viper and Panasonic VariCam is part of the equipment we work with. There will also be a opportunity to get familiar with different types of HD/24P related aids, equipment and tools.
The price for the workshop we did in November 2004 was 1.800 EUR without VAT and this included material, misc. aids, plus lunch and other refreshments during all five days.
The target group for this workshop is primarily DOPs (film- and video) and assistant cameramen (B & C) who wish to learn, in depth, about the possibilities and limitations of HD/24P. Also more technical oriented persons who wish to extend their knowledge and work as e.g. image technician will get a firm base from which to work from.
Previous experience from digital work is an advantage, as a big portion of the workshop deals with manipulating the cameras under various conditions in order to get the maximum output from the camera.
This workshop will give you an edge with in-dept knowledge of High Definition/24P production and the process to the final result whether it is for TV or a feature for the cinema.
